The predissociation of the 1 3 ⌺ g Ϫ v Ն 10 levels of 7 Li 2 has been observed by pulsed and continuous-wave perturbationfacilitated optical-optical double-resonance spectroscopy (PFOODR). Our ab initio calculation shows that the inner wall of the 1 3 ⌺ g Ϫ potential intersects the 1 3 ⌸ g repulsive

✦ Synopsis
The 7 Li 2 5 1 + g and 6 1 + g states have been studied both experimentally and theoretically. Vibrational levels v = 1-26 of the 5 1 + g state and v = 2-14 of the 6 1 + g state were observed using pulsed optical-optical double resonance technique. The 5 1 + g state has an unusual potential energy curve with a shelf near v = 11. Dunham coefficients for the v = 0-9 levels of the 5 1 + g state have been obtained. RKR potential energy curves of these two were generated. Ab initio potentials are in good agreement with the RKR potentials.

Five highly excited (1)Sigma(+)(g) states of Na(2) were observed for the first time by pulsed optical-optical double resonance (OODR) fluorescence excitation spectroscopy. Three of the five states are assigned to the 6svarsigma (1)Sigma(+)(g), 6dvarsigma (1)Sigma(+)(g), and 7dvarsigma (1)Sigma(+)(g)
With a sensitive space-charge-limited diode ionization detector, we studied 8-10svarsigma, 8-10dvarsigma (1)Sigma(+)(g), and 10-15dpi (1)Pi(g) Rydberg states of Na(2) and obtained their molecular constants for the first time. It is the first successful example of a diode ionization detector that is
The molecular constants of the previously unobserved 5 and \(6^{\prime} \Sigma_{g}^{+}\)states of \(K_{2}\) are determined and the potential curves are constructed using the Rydberg-Klein-Rees (RKR) method. The absolute vibrational numbering of the \(5^{\prime} \Sigma_{8}^{+}\)state is obtained by c
In this work, the BaI D 2 + and G 2 + electronic states were investigated using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) and Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTS). The LIF visible spectra were obtained by using the second harmonic of the Ti:sapphire singlemode laser and the Ar + and Kr + multimode lasers as
We have observed the rotational levels in the v ϭ 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 vibrational manifolds of the 2 1 ⌬ g state of 7 Li 2 via the A 1 ⌺ u ϩ intermediate levels by ⌬⌳ ϭ 2 transitions. This violation of the ⌬⌳ ϭ 0, Ϯ1 selection rule is due to the interaction with the G 1 ⌸ g state. Band-by-band depe
