✦ Synopsis
The contour of the band UC ,502 at 29937 cm -* IIX been SIIOWII to be of type-c, and an approximate excited state structure dcrivcd as rSo = 1.50 A, valence angle = 112". For a number of reasons it is proposed that the princjpal bands between 3150 and 3400 A correspond to vibronicallp induced BI-AI traxitions of R 'Ap-'A1 forbidden clectronic tradition rather than to an allowed 'BI-'A~ transition.
