✦ Synopsis
The two companion papers defined the primary misorientatlon function [P(A)] and produced such functions both directly from electron diffraction studies and also by prediction based on X-ray data. This paper will apply these results to the characterisation of grain boundary structures as observed in the tungstem wires and rods used throughout this investigation.
It will be shown that the primary misorientation function. derived from the X-raq data, can predict a lower limit for the percentage number of boundaries which should show one particular type of grain boundary intrinsic dislocation.*
