✦ Synopsis

The low-energy excitations in glasses were studied by the terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). The coherent THz radiation by a femto-second pulse laser enables the determination of the real and the imaginary parts of complex dielectric constants in the frequency range between 0.3 and 2.4 THz. The complex dielectric spectra of glasses clearly show the existence of broad low-energy excitations called boson peaks.

## Abstract We propose a technique for the measurement of Stokes parameters of terahertz radiation in terahertz time‐domain spectroscopy (THz‐TDS). In this technique, a rotatable wire‐grid THz polarizer is placed in front of a two‐contact photoconductive THz detector. Stokes parameters can be measu

## Abstract Using terahertz time‐domain spectroscopy (THz‐TDS), we have investigated the THz spectra of astaxanthin and riboflavin and the spectra of two kinds of cell, haenatcoccus plusivalis and bacillus subtilis, which could produce astaxanthin and riboflavin, respectively, during their metaboli
