Several isomolecular gaseous eo\_uilibria involving A10 and Ala0 were studied by mass spectrometry, and the resuIts were used :o derive the dissociation energies of the two molecular species. Good internal agreement was obtained among the various experiments, leading to DE (AIO) = 118.6 +-2.5 kcal a

✦ Synopsis
The temperature and pressure dependence of the rate constant for the reaction AI + 02 has been measured by observing both AI disappearance and A10 appearance. No pressure dependence is observed from 10 to 100 Torr total pressure of Ar at room temperature. Over the range 298-1083 K, a fit to the measured data yields the expression k(T)= (1.62 + 0.13)× 10-1° cm 3 s-i exp [ ( -0.16 _+ 0.08 ) kcal mol-t/RT].
