β¦ Synopsis
Several isomolecular gaseous eo_uilibria involving A10 and Ala0 were studied by mass spectrometry, and the resuIts were used :o derive the dissociation energies of the two molecular species. Good internal agreement was obtained among the various experiments, leading to DE (AIO) = 118.6 +-2.5 kcal and 0: (AlaO) = 249.0 * 5.6 kcal. From electron impact measurements, the ionization potentials were found to bc IP(AI0) = 9.53 eV and Ip(A120) = 8.20 eV with uncertainties of 0.15eV. The results xc discussed in relation to other information in the litcraturc.
