✦ Synopsis

From the studies of the Cu substituted YBa 2 (Cu 1 _ M )30-_ (M=Fe, Co, Ni, Zn) systems, it is concluded that the pair-breaking of the AbriRo~ov ~n~Gor'kov type by magnetic impurities is absent, or very small if it exists, both on the C(l) and Cu(2) sites.

The Hall coefficient is measured for the systems.

There is a certain relation between T and n H in the substituted materials with Fe and Co, while no relation is deduced from the Ni-a5d Zn-substituted ones.

The electrical resistivity, the Hall effect and the oxygen content have been measured for YBa2(CU 1-xMxhOy(M = Co and Zn). The electrical resistivity increases with concentration x in both systems. The carrier concentration decreases with x for M = Co, while it remains almost constant for M = Zn. Th
