✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A compact coplanar rectangular monopole antenna fed by a tapered coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeder in the middle of a trapeziform ground plane is introduced. By using the tapered CPW feeder, the impedance bandwidth of the antenna is enhanced by a factor of about 1.7 compared with a 50Ξ© CPW feeder. The measured ratio impedance bandwidth reaches about 10.7:1, covering frequencies from 0.76 to 8.15 GHz. Β© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This study proposes a novel design of printed monopole antenna using branch slits for WiMAX applications. Here, dual‐band‐reject function is used to form triple band for WiMAX operation. We first investigated the printed rectangular monopole antenna for wide‐band operation of 2.5–6 GHz,

A novel compact and wideband coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed sleeve-shaped monopole antenna is proposed. The uniplanar monopole antenna consists of a CPW-fed monopole and two equal ground planes, including rectangular stubs, according to the concept of the sleeve monopole antenna. The proposed antenna

## Abstract By embedding two folded narrow slots into a rectangular patch, a shorted monopole fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) structure is obtained and can achieve broadband impedance matching for wireless application. Prototype of the obtained design has been constructed and experimentally studi

## Abstract A new coplanar waveguide (CPW)‐fed broadband printed slot antenna is presented. The impedance bandwidth is greatly increased by using a linear taper. The test antenna's impedance bandwidth of βˆ’10‐dB return loss reaches 40% with low cross‐polarization level. The impedance characteristics

## Abstract A novel key‐shaped CPW‐fed monopole UWB antenna is proposed in this article. A high frequency structure simulator is used to analyze the proposed antenna in the design process. The proposed antenna has an extremely wide frequency band range, the impedance bandwidth of which is measured
