## Abstract Core peptide (CP; GLRILLLKV) is a 9โ€amino acid peptide derived from the transmembrane sequence of the Tโ€cell antigen receptor (TCR) ฮฑโ€subunit. CP inhibits Tโ€cell activation both __in vitro__ and __in vivo__ by disruption of the TCR at the membrane level. To elucidate CP interactions wit

## Abstract Persistence is a hallmark of infection by viruses such as HIV, hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus and LCMV. In the case of LCMV, persistence may often be associated with exhaustion of CD8^+^ T cells. We demonstrate here that persistent antigen suppressed ILโ€7Rฮฑ expression and this cor
