Abstract
m, m'‐Polymethylenedioxy‐dibenzaldehydes (VI, n = 5, 6, 8, 10) are prepared from sodium m‐formylphenoxide and the appropriate polymethylene dibromides. The synthesis of the corresponding benzylidene‐anilines (III), benzyl alcohols (VII) and benzylanilines (VIII) is also described.
