France Manuscrit regu le 1 decembre 1965 SUMMARY 5-Amino tetrazole 14C is prepared by action of cyanamide 14C on sodium azide in aqueous acid solution at 70-75 "C. After purijication by chromatography on an ion exchange resin column Dowex 50-W-12 the radioactive yield is 76% based on Ba l4c03. The specijic activity is 21.8 mCilmM. Urea 14C recovered as a by-product accounts ,for Ilyo of the total radioactivity.
