The results of structural studies of the glasses from Li 2 O-Bi 2 O 3 -PbO system were presented. Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were applied to determine main structural unites and chemical composition of near-surface region. Glasses from the studied system are bu
Glasses in the system xPbO Á (100Àx)P 2 O 5 (x=25-60 mol%) have been investigated using IR spectroscopy and by means of density and electrical-resistivity measurements. The infrared spectra revealed that for PbOo50 mol% PbO enters the structure as a network modifier forming non-bridging oxygen ions.
