✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A convenient preparation of [β,β,γ,γ,δ,δ,δ–^2^H7]‐n‐butylbenzene has been achieved by base‐catalyzed isotopic exchange of 4‐phenyl‐2‐butanone followed by application of Vedejs' procedure for Clemmensen reduction in a deuteriated medium.
