β¦ Synopsis
Three new derivatives of vitamin B,, with a pyrrole head group attached to the corrin ring have been prepared. Ligdnd-exchange reactions and reduction provided reactive Co"' and Co" complexes. Their electrochemical properties and their potential for fixation at the surface of electrodes by electropolymerization were studied.
') The cloning of Pseudoomonus denitrificans genes involved in the vitamin-B, biosynthesis allowed the preparation of a multitude of precorrins (and cobyrinic-acid intermediates) from which homochiral catalysts might be obtained by incorporation of a variety of transition-metal ions [5].
