✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A synthesis is described of the partially protected carboxyl‐terminal tetrapeptide sequence, L‐leucyl‐L‐methionyl‐L‐asparaginyl‐O‐t‐butyl‐L‐threonine t‐butyl ester, which is derived from the pancreatic hormone glucagon.
In this synthesis we used successfully a novel combination of blocking groups, the t‐butoxy group and t‐butyl ester, together with N‐phthaloyl protection.
