## Abstract ^13^C‐, ^14^C‐ and ^15^N‐labelled ethylenethiourea was synthesized for NMR and radiotracer applications in metabolism and environmental fate studies. The products contained stable isotopes at 99% enrichment and the radiolabelled product had specific activity of 2.0 mCi/mmole.

## Abstract [^13^C‐carboxyl]Salicylic acid has been prepared by carbonation of 2‐benzyloxybromobenzene followed by reductive debenzylation. Deuterium and tritium labelled salicylic acid and ^2^H~2~/^13^C‐salicylic acid were prepared by reduction of the 3,5‐dibromo derivatives using Raney Ni‐Al. Deu
## Abstract An efficient approach to the enantioselective synthesis of a series of amino acids from either bromoacetyl bromide or glycine is described using a [2,3]‐sigmatropic rearrangement to establish the stereogenic centre at C‐2 under mild conditions. Protected allylglycine **5** is a valuable
## Abstract The reaction between carbon monoxide and hydrogen to form water and methane proceeds quantitatively in a single pass through a supported Ni catalyst bed at 250 – 350°C in an atmospheric‐pressure flow system. The system described is capable of rapid, continuous production of isotopically
