✦ Synopsis

The access to polymeric surfactants via thiol/en addition is investigated, and some synthetic guidelines are established. Surfactant monomers containing two olefinic groups of different reactivity were newly synthesized. They were reacted with various thiols to provide reaction products with well-defined chemical structures. Polymers with different length and polarity of their repeat units were obtained.
