β¦ Synopsis
Phosphorus-containing alternating copolymers were synthesized by the reaction of nucleophilic monomers M N with electrophilic monomers M E. Methyl acrylate and v-butyrolactone were used as M E monomers, with 2-(4-methylphenyl)-l,3,2-dioxaphospholane and 2-(4-methylphenyl)-4-methyl-l,3,2dioxaphospholane as M N monomers. The polymerizations proceeded without catalyst to give true alternating copolymers which were characterized by spectral and other methods.

## Abstract The creation of polymers with a high degree of sequence and/or stereocontrol represents an exciting frontier in materials science. In order to obtain alternating polymers, coordination polymerization using wellβdefined metal complexes has played a leading role in the last two decades. I
## Abstract The catalyst [Me~2~C(Flu)(3βMeCp)ZrCl~2~] (1), activated by MAO, was used for the copolymerization of ethylene and 1,7βoctadiene (OD) to form copolymers with pendent double bonds. The properties of the copolymers were strongly dependent on the purity of the comonomer. Formation of ethyl
Phosphorus-containing polyanhydride-imides were synthesized from N,N-bis(4-carboxyphthalimido)-3,3'-diphenylalkylphosphine oxide, 3,Y-[N, N'-bis(4-carboxyphthalimido)]benzophenone and their mixtures in two steps via the diacetyl derivatives of the bisimide-carboxylic acids. The resulting polymers ha
The reaction of dichloromaleimides with aromatic amines was applied to the preparation of phosphorus-containing polymers, so-called polymaleimide-amines. The phosphorus-containing polymaleimide-amines were synthesized from N,N'-bisdichloromaleimido-3,3'-diphenylalkylphosphine oxides and aromatic dia
