โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Summary: The synthesis of PEDOT nanoparticles and vesicles by dispersion polymerization in a methanol/water mixture (3/2, v/v) is reported, using either ammonium persulfate or iron(III) pโtoluenesulfonate as oxidants and ฮฑโEDOTโPEO as a reactive stabilizer. The influence of the oxidant as well as the ฮฑโEDOTโPEO molar mass and concentration on the coreโshell particle morphology and conductivity properties have been investigated. PEDOT particles with conductivities up to 1.5โรโ10^โ2^ Sโยทโcm^โ1^ have been obtained in high yield.

The effects of three different variables (initiator concentration, polarity of the solvent and reaction temperature) on the rate of dispersion polymerization of styrene in alcohols have been investigated. It was found that the rate of polymerization increases with the initiator (AIBN) concentration
Polymethylmethacrylate particles with narrow size distributions with different sizes in the range of 1.25-4.58 pm were produced by dispersion polymerization of methylmethacrylate (MMA) in ethanol/water media, by using 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) (as an initiator), (PVP) poly(viny1 pyrrolidone
