✦ Synopsis

The synthesis of 3-[ [[2-amino(4-azido-2-nitphenyl)ethyl]amino]carbonyl]-04-deacetyl-3-de-(methoxycarbonyl)-vincaleukoblastine (napavin) from vinblastine is described. This new photoreactive cytostatic substance overcomes multidrug resistance of tumor cells.
