## Abstract Myoglobin synthesis was compared in cell cultures of leg (red) and breast (white) muscle of chick embryos. In leg muscle cultures a rapidly increasing amino acid incorporation into myoglobin begins two days after muscle cell fusion; in breast muscle cultures no comparable increase was o
