(+)‐Multifidence ((+)‐1) has been synthesized starting from (R)‐(cyclopent‐2‐enyl)methanol ((+)‐2) via its chloroformate 4, Co‐mediated radical cyclization reaction to the lactone (+)‐6, and introduction of the olefinic side chains.
