✦ Synopsis
Gold(I) / Gold(II) / Diphenyl(trimethylsilylmethyl)phosphane / Ligand effects The reaction of diphenyl(trimethylsilylmethyl)phosphane CH 2 SiMe 3 )(PPh 3 )](CF 3 SO 3 ) (4), the latter mixed with the symmetrical derivatives [Au(PPh 2 R) 2 ](CF 3 SO 3 ) (R = Ph, CH 2 -with [AuCl(tht)] affords the gold(I) complexes [AuCl(PPh 2 -CH 2 SiMe 3 )] (1) or [Au(PPh 2 CH 2 SiMe 3 ) 2 ]Cl (2). An X-ray SiMe 3 ). The molecular structure of complex 3 has been established by X-ray diffraction and shows an antiperiplanar study of 1 does not reveal any Au•••Au interaction.
