Synthesis of Ca1−xNaxCuO2Cl2 single crystals by using a high-pressure technique

✦ Synopsis

We synthesized Ca 1Àx Na x CuO 2 Cl 2 single crystals for 0.06 6 x 6 0.18 in the several GPa pressure range. The Na content, x, critically depended on the applied pressure, not the initial stoichiometric composition. A superconducting transition temperature of 27 K was obtained for x $ 0.18, which is the highest T c reported so far for this compound.
