Ca 2 CuO 2 Cl 2Ày Br y (0 6 y 6 2) has the K 2 NiF 4 -type structure with halogens (Cl and Br) at their apical sites and superconductivity can be achieved by substituting Ca 2+ sites with Na + . We have succeeded in making a comprehensive superconducting phase diagram of Ca 2Àx Na x CuO 2 Cl 2Ày Br
We synthesized Ca 1Àx Na x CuO 2 Cl 2 single crystals for 0.06 6 x 6 0.18 in the several GPa pressure range. The Na content, x, critically depended on the applied pressure, not the initial stoichiometric composition. A superconducting transition temperature of 27 K was obtained for x $ 0.18, which i
We produced the HgBa2Ca2Cu308+ x (Hg-1223) superconductors by changing the composition, mercury vapor pressure and reaction temperature. We found that the high mercury pressure is essential for the formation cf the Hg-1223 phase by preventing the decomposition of HgO at low temperature. This sample
