Abstract

The synthesis of 2‐phenyl‐1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroquinolin‐4‐one thiosemicarbazone (2c) and subsequent cyclization to the title compound (3e, R = H) under acetylating conditions are described Their structure was determined by IR‐, ^1^H‐ and ^13^C NMR, as well as mass spectral data.
