## Abstract Starting with benzeneโUโ^14^C, biphenylโUโ^14^C was synthesized in two steps in approximately 65% yield. Then two kinds of polychlorinated biphenylsโUโ^14^C. The yield was more than 35% based on benzeneโUโ^14^C consumed.
