✦ Synopsis
Abstract
As known, some derivatives of quinolin‐4(1__H__)‐one possess interesting biological properties. The biological and cytostactic activity of 2‐substituted 3‐hydroxyquinolin‐4(1__H__)‐ones has not been reported yet. In this paper the synthesis of a series of chloro and dichloro 2‐phenyl‐3‐hydroxyquinolin‐4(1__H__)‐ones and their characterization by NMR spectra and X‐ray data is described. Their cytostatic properties have been evaluated and the results are reported.
