Abstract
magnified image A series of 3′‐(4‐(2‐methyl/phenyl/benzylthiazol‐4‐yl)phenyl)spiro[indoline‐3,2′‐thiazolidine]‐2,4′‐diones was synthesized. The structures of the synthesized compounds were evaluated by analytical and spectral (IR, ^1^H NMR, ^13^C NMR, LC‐MS, and elemental analysis) methods. All the synthesized compounds were screened for qualitative (Zone of inhibition) and quantitative antimicrobial activities (MIC). Most of the derivatives showed good activity towards Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).
