✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Some novel substituted‐3‐{[(1__E__)‐(substituted‐2‐furyl)‐methylene]amino}quinazolin‐4(3__H__)‐one (5, 6, 7) a–f were synthesized by a multi‐step process. These synthesized compounds are characterized by various spectroscopic techniques and evaluated for their antitubercular and anticancer activities. Biological activity indicated that some of the title compounds are potent antitubercular and anticancer agents.

## Abstract A new series of 2‐substituted mercapto‐3__H__‐quinozolines bearing 6‐iodo and 2‐heteroarylthio functions was synthesized and screened for their in vitro antitumor activity. Eighteen compounds were identified as active anticancer agents. __N__′‐[(3‐Benzyl‐4‐oxo‐6‐iodo‐3__H__‐quinazoline‐
Several new 3-(indazol-3-yl)-quinazolin-4(3H)-one and 3-(indazol-3-yl)-benzotriazin-4(3H)-one derivatives 5 and 6 were synthesized and tested for their in vitro antiproliferative activity against Raji, K562, and K562-R cell lines. The pharmacological screening showed that some 2, 6, or 7-substituted
