A novel bis-salicylaldimino enediyne 1, along with its Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes 6 and 7, respectively, were prepared. Dierential Scanning Calorimetric studies revealed an elevation of the onset temperature for Bergman cyclization upon complexation.
