A novel ammonium 1,6-hexanediammonium dodecatungstate, (NH 4 ) 2 (NH 3 (CH 2 ) 6 NH 3 ) 4 [H 2 W 12 O 42 ]Á8H 2 O, contains centrosymmetric [H 2 W 12 O 42 ] 10À anions separated by the ammonium and 1,6-hexanediammonium cations, and water molecules, in a pseudo-layer structure.
