## Abstract An exploration of the Cu(I)‐L system under hydrothermal conditions, has led to the isolation of a novel framework [Cu(I)(L)]~n~ (**1**) (L = bis(3,3‐dimethyl‐4,4‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrazol‐4‐yl)methane). Single‐crystal X‐ray analysis reveals that it crystallizes in the monoclinic, space group C

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The molecular structure of a novel hypervalent tellurium(IV) compound, 2,2′‐spirobi[4,7‐diisopropyl‐1,3,2‐benzodithiatellurole] (1), has been determined by a single crystal X‐ray diffraction study. The results represent the first crystal structural characterization of a hypervalent tellurium(IV), tellurane, with only four sulfur ligands. The tellurane has a distorted pseudo‐trigonal‐bipyramidal geometry with the axial sulfur atoms bending toward the equatorial ones. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
