New four 6,10-disubstituted[1,2,3]trithiolo[5,4-h]benzopentathie P ins [?3jz;Fhiole-2 6-dithione (1) with elem&tal sulfur in liquid akmonia: synthesized by reaction of 4 8-disubstituted benzo[l 2-d:4 5-d' bis triated with sodium borohydrTde 2 was and then alkylated with alkyl halides to give some interesting benzopentathiepin derivatives and related compounds.
