✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A new type pyridinium salt monomer, 1‐vinyl‐4‐carbamidopyridinium perchlorate, was prepared, and then homopolymerized and copolymerized with methyl methacrylate (MMA), 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), styrene, and acrylonitrile. Redox potentials of these pyridinium salt monomer and polymers were more positive than that of the model compound (1‐methyl‐4‐carbamidopyridinium salt). The copolymer with MMA showed an interesting redox behavior.

An acrylic monomer having phenoxazine moiety, i.e., N-acryloylphenoxazine (APO), has been synthesized by dehydrochlorination of N-(3-chloropropionyl)phenoxazine with 1,5-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-5-ene in dimethyl sulfoxide. The monomer can be polymerized with AIBN as an initiator. The photochemical

## Abstract TiCl~2~[salphen(di‐__t__Bu)] was synthesized, characterized and employed as pre‐catalyst in ethylene homo‐ and copolymerization with propylene, 1‐octene and 10‐undecen‐1‐ol. X‐ray diffraction study on the titanium complex revealed a distorted octahedral coordination of the central metal
