β¦ Synopsis
Four kinds of novel CN-bridged Nin-Fe lu complexes, [NiL,(NC)Fe(CN)sI -, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r. and u.v.-vis, spectral analysis, and magnetic moments. The formation of cyanide bridges is evident from the i.r. and u.v.-vis, spectra by the appearance of v(CN) shifts and changes in J~max with respect to the mononuclear parent complex [Fe(CN)6 ] 3 -. The magnetic properties indicate the existence of magnetic spin interactions between Ni H and Fe IH through the cyanide bridge.
