β¦ Synopsis
acid. Bis(4-aminophenyl) telluride and bis(2amino-5-nitrophenyl) telluride were polymerized with aromatic and aliphatic diacid chlorides (i.e. terephthaloyl chloride and sebacoyl chloride), as well as with toluene diisocyanate, leading to new organic tellurium polyamides and polyurea. All organic tellurium compounds and their condensation polymers were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1 H and 13 C NMR, and mass spectroscopy. The thermal stabilities of the resulting polymers were determined by thermogravimetric and derivative thermogravimetric techniques.
