## Abstract magnified image Carbodiimide, obtained from aza‐Wittig reaction of iminophosphorane with 4‐fluorophenyl isocyanate, reacted with various nucleophiles under mild conditions to give a series of 2‐substituted‐3‐(4‐fluorophenyl)‐benzofuro [3,2‐d] pyrimidin‐4(3H)‐ones in satisfactory yield.
