β¦ Synopsis
A new crown ether derivative 4,7,13,16-tetrabenzyl-1,10-dioxa-4,7,13,16-tetraaza-cyclooctadecane together with its binuclear copper(II) complex have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR and UV spectra. X-ray diffraction study shows that the complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system, C2=c space group, with a ΒΌ 29:052Γ°10Γ; b ΒΌ 10:398Γ°4Γ; c ΒΌ 21:084Γ°7Γ

The coordination polyhedron is a distorted trigonal bipyramid.
