## Abstract A series of new poly(amide‐imide)s were synthesized by direct polycondensation of the 1,6‐bis(trimellitimido)diamantane (1) with various aromatic diamines in __N__‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP) containing lithium chloride. The poly(amide‐imide)s had inherent viscosities of 0.33–1.55 dL/g.

## Abstract Two series of poly(ether imide)s (PEIs) containing fluorenyl cardo groups in the main chains were synthesized, which are derived from the polycondensation of 9,9′‐bis(4‐aminophenoxyphenyl)fluorene (BAOFL) or 9,9′‐bis(3‐trifluoromethyl,4‐aminophenoxyphenyl)fluorene (6F‐BAOFL) with four k
## Abstract A new category of linear poly(ether‐ketone)s IV~a–d~ and copoly(ether‐ketone)s V~a–f~ containing diarylidenecycloalkanone moieties in the main chain has been synthesized by solution polycondensation of 4,4′‐bis (chloroacetyl)diphenylether I, with different phenoxides of diarylidenecyclo
The polymerization of bisphenol-A diphthalic anhydride with 2,3-bis(per¯uoroalkyl methyl)butane-1,4 diamine (NFD) led to a new series of ¯uorinated poly(ether imide)s. In the case of C 4 F 9 per¯uoroalkyl chain, polymers and copolymers obtained from a mixture of m-phenylenediamine and NFD were chara
