## Abstract __Trans__‐4‐d~βˆ’1~‐tetranydronaphthalen‐1‐ol (__trans__‐4‐d~βˆ’1~‐1‐ tetralol) was synthesized from 1,4‐epoxy‐1,2,3,4‐ tetrahydronaphthalene using lithium tri‐__tert__‐butoxyaluminodeuteride. __Cis__‐4‐d~βˆ’1~‐1‐tetralol was made by epimerizing the __trans__‐ compound. Both compounds were ch
