✦ Synopsis

A series of organophosphorus derivatives have been synthesized by the reaction of phosphorylchloride with 2-(2 -hydroxyphenyl)benzimidazole and 2-(2 -hydroxynaphthyl)benzimidazole in the presence of KHCO 3 in dry THF in different molar ratios. Newly synthesized derivatives were tested for their insecticidal activity against Periplenata americana.
