Abstract
The reaction of CuOAc (OAc = acetate) with TiCl~4~·2thf and LiSPh in thf leads to the formation of tiny deep‐red crystals of [Li(thf)~4~]~2~[Ti~2~Cu~8~S~4~(SPh)~10~]. The silver/titanium cluster complex [Ti~2~Ag~6~S~6~Cl~2~(PPh__i__Pr~2~)~6~] was synthesized by the reaction of TiCl~4~·2thf with AgPhCO~2~ and S(SiMe~3~)~2~ in the presence of PPh__i__Pr~2~. The crystal structures of the compounds were determined by X‐ray analysis of single crystals. Additionally, theoretical investigations were performed to assign the proper chlorine/sulfur atomic positions and to rationalize the bonding situation in 1 and 2. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
