β¦ Synopsis
The syntheses of 3-heteroaryl-substituted 2H-azaphosphirene pentacarbonyltungsten complexes are reported. The products were characterized by multinuclear NMR spectro-2H-azaphosphirene tungsten complexes (I) are of current synthetic interest because of their widespread applicability in heterocycle synthesis. For example, we very recently demonstrated that 2H-azaphosphirene tungsten complexes provide a new access to five-membered heterocyclic complexes, through trapping reactions of transiently formed nitrilium phosphane ylide tungsten complexes (II) with an acetylene and a nitrile derivative. Therefore, we were interested in the synthesis of 3-heteroaryl-substituted 2Hazaphosphirene tungsten complexes. We also wished to test the limits of our initial synthetic approach to 2H-azaphosphirene complexes.
