Two thiocyanato bridged coordination polymers {[Cd(l-SCN) 2 (htm)(H 2 O)]ÁH 2 O} n (1) and [Cu(l-SCN) 2 (Him) 2 ] n (2) (htm = hexamethylenetetramine, Him = imidazole) have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray analyses. For these two compounds, the adjacent metal centers are br
