## Abstract Die Reaktion von 2‐Methoxybenzo[thiophen mit Zimtsäurechlorid in Gegenwart von AICI~3~ ergibt (2‐Methoxybenzo[b]thiophen‐3‐yl)(α‐styryl)keton (**1a**), aus 2‐Brombenzo[b]thiophen mit Zimtsäurechlorid oder ausgehend von (2‐Brombenzo[b]thiophen‐3‐yl)(methyl)keton (**1b**) mit Benzaldehyd
