✦ Synopsis
The reaction of InBr 3 with LiR* ´(THF) n (R* = ±C(SiMe 3 ) 3 , THF = OC 4 H 8 ) in a 1 : 1 molar ratio forms [Li(THF) 4 ][R*InBr 3 ] in good yield. The properties and some spectroscopic data ( 1 H, 13 C, 29 Si, 7 Li±NMR, IR and Raman) of this trisyl-tribromoindate are given and the crystal structure has been determined.

KNPPh 3 ] 6 ´4 C 7 H 8 (1) has been prepared from HNPPh 3 and potassium hydride in boiling toluene forming pale yellow moisture sensitive crystals, which were characterized by a crystal structure determination. Space group P1, Z = 2, lattice dimensions at ±83 °C: a = 1517.9(2), b = 1894.0(2), c = 21
