Abstract

Six deuterated androstanediols were synthetised. The position of deuterium atoms on the molecule were checked by mass spectrometry and ^1^H or ^13^c nuclear magnetic resonance. The per cent of d~0~, d~1~,… d~n~‐molecules were calculated.

The use of such labelled molecules in the fields of isotopic dilution‐mass fragmentography as carriers and/or internal standards is discussed.
