✦ Synopsis

It is our great pleasure to publish the Proceedings of the Symposium on Molecular Chirality 2005 (MC2005) as a special issue of CHIRALITY. Since its inception in 1992 as a subject-oriented gathering, this symposium series, usually held annually in Japan, has been dedicated to all aspects of the science and technology of molecular chirality, including chiral spectroscopy, chromatography, crystallization, recognition, synthesis, and pharmacology. As a continuation of the last meeting held as the presymposium to ISCD-15 (Chirality 2003) in Shizuoka, Japan, MC2005 was held with 190 participants on 7 -8 June 2005 at the Senri Life Science Center in Osaka, under the auspices of the Molecular Chirality Research Organization, Japan, and other organizations and companies.
