โฆ Synopsis
A symmetry analysis of the (\mathrm{H}{5}^{+})and (\mathrm{D}{5}^{+})complexes in a model with one large amplitude motion, an internal rotation, is presented. New presentations of the molecular symmetry group (G_{16}) and its extended molecular symmetry group are determined. Symmetry coordinates and symmetry adapted expansions of the potential and electric dipole moment components are derived. Selection rules are applied to the electric dipole transitions. Classifications of vibrational, rotational, and nuclear spin states including nuclear spin statistical weights are presented. (c) 1994 , Academic Press. Inc.

Symmetry and group theory provide us with a rigorous method for the description of the geometry of objects by describing the patterns in their structure. In chemistry it is a powerful concept that underlies many apparently disparate phenomena. Symmetry allows us to accurately describe the types of b
The thermodynamical parameters (free energy, enthalpy, and entropy) of complex formation between ethidium bromide and single-stranded and double-stranded tetranucleotides of different base sequence [5-d(TpGpCpA), 5-d(ApCpGpT), and 5-d(ApGpCpT)] have been determined from the temperature dependencies
